> Quote, build and track LayerHop swaps from Telegram with @layerhop_bot — commands, the non-custodial deep-link flow, fees and safety.

[@layerhop_bot](https://t.me/layerhop_bot) is LayerHop's non-custodial Telegram bot: it quotes swaps and bridges through the LayerHop API, then gives you a link to finish the swap in **your own wallet** on [layerhop.com/swap](https://layerhop.com/swap). The bot never creates wallets, never holds funds and never asks for a private key or seed phrase.

## How does a swap through the bot work?

1. You ask for a quote with `/quote` or build one step by step with `/swap`.
2. The bot shows the best route, up to three alternatives, the minimum received, the estimated time and the LayerHop fee.
3. You tap **Swap in your wallet ↗**. It opens a [deep link](/guides/deep-links) such as `https://layerhop.com/swap?srcChain=base&srcToken=USDC&dstChain=solana&dstToken=SOL&amount=100&ref=bot`, with everything prefilled.
4. You connect your wallet on layerhop.com, review the live quote and sign. Then follow the order with `/track`.

## Which commands are there?

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/start`, `/help` | How LayerHop works, the non-custodial promise and safety tips |
| `/quote <amount> <token> <chain> to <token> <chain>` | Indicative quote with the best route and alternatives. Buttons: **Swap in your wallet ↗** and **Refresh**. `→` and `->` work in place of `to`. |
| `/swap` | Step-by-step builder with buttons: source chain, token, destination chain, token, then type the amount |
| `/status <provider> <txhash>` | One-off order status with an explorer link |
| `/track <provider> <txhash>` | Follows the order until it is final (up to 30 minutes), editing one message on each change. Has a **Stop** button. Up to 3 tracked orders per chat. |
| `/chains` | Supported chains and their aliases |
| `/tokens <chain>` | Tokens on a chain with addresses and decimals |

Example:

```text
/quote 100 USDC base to SOL solana
/quote 0.5 eth arb -> usdc base
/track relay 0x3f1e…4d3e2f
```

## How do I write chains, tokens and providers?

| Input | Accepted forms |
|---|---|
| Amount | Human units, `.` as the decimal separator (`100`, `0.5`) |
| Chain | Slug, name or numeric id of any [supported chain](/chains); aliases such as `eth`, `arb`, `op`, `bnb`/`bsc`, `matic`/`pol`, `sol` |
| Token | A symbol from the built-in token list (case-insensitive) or an exact address / mint. `MATIC` on Polygon means `POL`. |
| Provider (`/status`, `/track`) | `relay`, `debridge`, `lifi`, `jupiter`, `zerox`, `kyberswap`, `mayan`, plus aliases `0x`, `li.fi`, `jup`, `dln` |

## What does the bot charge?

Swaps that start from the bot use the `bot` fee channel: **0.90%** of the input amount, shown on every quote before you sign. The deep link carries `ref=bot`, which tells the swap app to use that channel. See [Fees & channels](/concepts/fees-and-channels).

## Is the bot safe to use?

- It is **non-custodial**: you sign every transaction in your own wallet on layerhop.com. The bot cannot move funds.
- It **never** asks for a seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is a scammer.
- LayerHop staff never message you first.
- Quotes in Telegram are indicative. The price you sign is the live quote on layerhop.com; use **Refresh** for an updated quote in chat.

## Can I link to the bot from my app?

Yes: `https://t.me/layerhop_bot`. To send users straight to a prefilled swap instead, use a [deep link](/guides/deep-links) or [embed the widget](/guides/embed-widget).
